Two New Quilts Made with Panels

Today we finished 2 new quilts from panels we have had in the store. We like to show you what you can do with them. Chris made this Americana Quilt, the panel is by Moda, and the pattern is “Sea to Shining Sea”. Great size for a wall hanging.

I wanted to use this Inspirational word panel, so I came up with the idea to do a small jelly roll race quilt top, butting up the strips. Then I took several of the sayings cut out of the panel and appliqued them on the top in various places. I just used a small blanket stitch for the applique. After adding backing and batting I went to the Luminaire 2 or you could use your Dream machine #brother, go to Design Center, and I created a very simple flower using 2 shapes and decorative stitches. I embroidered 5 flowers taking approximately 3 minutes each and machine echoed a triple stitch around the words using varigated thread. I was very pleased with this. Instead of attaching binding and stitching by hand, I turned up my backing forward doing mitered corners and stitching a serpentine stitch on the machine. All in all a very quick quilt for a big or little girl. We do have several coordinating prints to go with the words one of which I used for my borders.

Stop in and see all of our samples for inspiration. We are continually making new ones.

We have also made all of our Clearance Fabrics $6.00yd everyday pricing. Minimum 1 yd cuts.
