Back Home Again In Indiana!

Wow! What a wonderful trip we had to Wisconsin. Day one we started out from the Meijer parking lot, stopped for a snack at the Fair Oaks complex and on to Morris Illinois for shopping and lunch. Some of us ate in the cutest little tea room and the food was fantastic. I did a little bit of Christmas shopping in one of the quaint little shops. This town is a must for a day trip. For dinner that night we went to Kari’s Quilt shop in Whitewater, WI. She has such a great shop packed with cork, vinyl, wide backings, and sooo much more! Sallie Tomato was there to do a quick presentation of her products. While we were there Kari and her husband Mike provided us with a fantastic dinner. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts!

Day 2 was spent at the Great Wisconsin Quilt Show in Madison. We had VIP tickets and were the first ones in. (That was Awesome!) Lots of vendors. Some of the ladies took classes, some of us watched demonstrations, and some were lucky to meet their idols! Marge met Deb Tucker. She loves her rulers!

Day 3 time to head home, but not without stopping in one more shop in Wisconsin and one in Illinois. When we stopped in the one shop I met the designer of Claudia’s Embroidery Designs. She was teaching an embroidery class. So fun to meet these designers! Then on to Shipshewanna. Good food, Good shopping. Last stop Ft. Wayne for a pit stop and dinner.

It was a wonderful trip. We played games and watched great movies on the bus. Thanks to Pam from Cruise Adventure here in Richmond. We already are planning next years quilt trip to Lancaster, PA. If you missed this one you won’t want to miss that one!

Nancy, Doris, and Marge Chris stayed home to man the store!
